I had a very special date with Mason today...we went to see the new movie "Up". We have been watching the previews for close to 2 months now and even recorded a preview so he could watch it whenever he wanted. He was so excited when I told him we were going to go watch a movie at the movie theater. You would ask him where he was going and he would say " we going to go watch a movie theater!" which sounds more like "moody deeder". So we get there and he picks out Reese's Pieces and a Sprite for his snack, which I could not disappoint. As we were walking through the theater, before we even made it to our seats, he kept saying "dis da best moody deeder eder", otherwise known as this is the best movie theater ever. He sat through all the previews and the entire movie in my lap with only a peep out of him every once in a while, other than laughing out loud. Overall, it was another great movie from the people at Pixar.

Best buddies
It seems Mason and Reese have each chosen their favorite dogs. Mason and Miles tend to play together more and Reese definitely likes to hang out with Jack more. I knew there was another reason we only had 2 kids, because I am not about to get a third dog for a third kiddo :) I caught Reese and Jack being so sweet together today so just thought I would share it with everyone.

Laughter Week at I ♥ Faces
I haven't shared an I ♥ Faces entry in a while so I thought it was about time. This week is laughter, and I immediately knew which picture I would use. Mason was about 18 months old in this picture and I remember he was being super silly and would throw his head back to laugh at either the dogs or Daddy being silly. It didn't take much to crack him up then.

Cutest Pajamas Ever!
These pajamas, by far, have to be one of my favorite purchases for Reese. There seems to be a running cow theme for her and it doesn't get much cuter than this. Even better, I bought these Gymboree pj's at Kid to Kid for $4.
Meanwhile, the kiddos are starting to learn how to play together a little better. It seems to go a bit smoother outside so we have been playing in the backyard as much as we can.
These two are something else.

Where does he get this stuff?
As Mason was playing with his very basic (Dollar General) "computer, that is really just a light on a screen and a pen, he told us... "Daddy, this say that we have to go get some ice cream at the store". RRRRIIIIGGGGGHHHTTTT
Today, as he was helping pick up the paper mess he made on the floor he stopped and said..."My belly getting full, I need to stop, that's ok, my belly too full" as he was patting his belly and sounding so pitiful.
After eating one small ice cream sandwich, he asked for another and I said no. His response was..."I have to eat another one because now I small and one more will make me big".
We find this recent spurt in his communication quite hilarious because just weeks ago we were concerned that his communication skills were a bit behind. His teacher also told us the other day he got in trouble for talking too much at school. We were all shocked, including his teacher.

Scrapbook Challenge
I know, 3 posts in one day, what is going on right? Well, it's been a lazy day so I have had lots of time to play. This is the last post I promise. I finished this page last night and loved her expression when I caught her chewing on one of Mason's art projects from school. Anyway, the challenge was to use something old and I dug into my stash to pull out some random bits of "old" stuff. I should do that more often because I forgot I had some of these lovely pieces.
Dip-dops
Mason's first pair of flip-flops. He picked them out after we passed them on an isle at Hobby Lobby. We broke the bank and paid $1 for them. It is hilarious to watch him walk in these. Gary says it looks like he is walking in high-heels. Most of the time he doesn't even have them between the correct toes, but he won't let you fix them. Today he said "Look mom, you have the same dip-dops as me".
Three
The number of teeth it takes for a 13 month old baby girl to grind them to the point that even total strangers walking by in a store can hear. It's pretty bad. She has 2 bottom and 1 recently emerged top tooth and she is working them to her little heart's content. I have heard the best advice is to ignore it otherwise we would be reinforcing it by giving her attention. We are trying that route first. Any suggestion?
